Katie walks to a park bench to relax when the first thunder rumbles. "People are ignorant of the first sounds of thunder, but as the storm continues they notice it and take cover. Me, I stay where I am and enjoy the closeness to death as the thunder crushes down on parts of wherever I am." The two pokemon just looked at her weird. "I'm basically the black sheep no matter where I go,"  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy "And I don't care who knows about it neither."

Leona was a new trainer on the road when she saw the girl on the bench and heard the thunder. The pokemon walking beside her was an Eeve whose nick name was "Sweety Pie" for she was only a youngster when her father gave her this pokemon. Walked over to the girl and asks, "Are you aware that a storm is coming soon miss?" She has also learned some manners but they were all ways a little blunt but it was her way of talking.

Quote from: Nurse Joy & Tex ( Dallas's Father )
Nurse Joy: Well the pokemon will be just fine, as for the boy I'm not really sure.  He suffered a psychic attack and his will to live will be the measure of speed concerning his recovery.

Tex: That's just great you're telling me he'll have to apply himself mentally to recover from the attack?

Nurse Joy: I never said it would be easy sir, with the equipment on hand I can't determine the amount of damage he may or may not have suffered.

Tex: Oii, this is just great, I bet he did this on purpose just to get out of training Pokemon. Grr, when he comes too I'll make him run laps around the city for a month.

Nurse Joy: I hardly think he'll be in the condition to do so, though it's possible that the psychic attack merely knocked him out... like I said without the proper equipment it's anyone's guess, it's possible that he's been placed into a comatose state and could remain that way for some time...

Tex: Comb a Toast!? what in tarnation are you babbling about, I thought you were a doctor not some hair stylist chef!

Nurse Joy: I'm sorry sir you'll just have to give it time to see if he comes around.

Tex: Grrr, FINE THEN! I'll be at home you can call me when he comes too.

Nurse Joy: Very well, sir before you go though I've some paperwork for you to sign, if you'll accompany me to the lobby.

Tex: Ah shoot, I suppose I've got time to jot my name down a few times...

Dallas's eyes opened quickly, he stared up at a tile ceiling.  A pokeball was emblazoned on the ceiling surrounded by yellow tiles all the way to the wall.  The walls were all white with sparse windows that looked out onto dusk soaked grass fields.  He was laying in a strange bed, well at least strange in that it was not his own.  He was wearing some kind of peculiar thin polyester material... DRESS! He quickly sat up and jumped from the bed to find a mirror.  He looked into the mirror and realized he'd been placed in a hospital gown...

"How embaressing, a photo of this and dad would have me in a vise for sure. I've gotta find my clothes."

Dallas looked around the room in earnst for the clothing he had on earlier.  The events of the day rushed back as he found his clothes in a pile on a chair in the corner.  He'd gotten a pokemon earlier that day, then ogled his long time rival, only to wind up unconcious at the hands of a... well he couldn't remember that... She'd said something about wanting to train, perhaps he'd been knocked out by her...

"pfft, not likely..."

He spoke his thoughts out loud as he switched back into his casual attire.  A pair of loose dark tan cargos, a tight black sleeveless T, and a thin white half vest.  Generally he also wore a hoody tied around his waist but being the summer time he didn't bother to grab it this morning.

He glanced around the room to survey the rest of his surroundings, Magic was sitting on an examination table.  He seemed healthy and queriously enough he also seemed awake.  In fact the pokemon was awake and had been observing him since he got out of the bed.  Making apparent eye contact with it's narrow slits the pokemon's head turned as Dallas moved about the room.

"Hmm, perhaps the Abra is a nocturnal pokemon... that would explain a lot... Magic it's time to go, we've got to high tail it before dad gets here."

The pokemon didn't give Dallas any flac and hopped off the exam table in short order.  He then followed Dallas out of the room.  Dallas rounded the corner of the main lobby only to see his father signing papers and an attractive Nurse dictating his pen hand.  There was a spiky haired bronze skinned boy ogling the Nurse from the front desk, but Dallas paid the individual little mind.  Beyond that he was the only one there.

Shortly thereafter a lecture ensues involving Dallas and his slacker habits, as well as a new reformed training regimen for him and his pokemon.

:: The Next Morning ::

The call of a rooster awakens Dallas from his slumber.  His dad ran the produce farm for the area and he had chores to get too.  Water the crops, Feed the chickens, Milk the cows...
